Costina Pîșă (Piperea), Marian Dragomir · GYMNASIUM · 2026

This study tracked how a basketball-specific training program affected physical performance in 12 young female players (U15 level) by measuring their sprinting speed, jumping power, agility, and aerobic fitness before and after the program. The training produced significant improvements in jumping power, agility, and aerobic capacity, but didn't significantly improve straight-line sprinting speed.
Takeaway: Incorporate structured basketball-specific conditioning drills to build jumping power, agility, and aerobic capacity in young female players.
