Purpose: of this study was to compare different types of shadow drill training and their effect on reaction time among badminton players. A total of 30 badminton players aged 18-22 years were selected. Reaction time was assessed using the Vienna Test System (VTS). Data were analyzed using the t-test and ANOVA. In this experimental study, participants were divided into three groups: Experimental Group 1 underwent Partner/Coach-directed shadow drill training, Experimental Group 2 underwent Moving as you decide shadow drill training, while the Control group continued their regular practice without shadow drill training. Results: showed a significant improvement in pre- and post-test reaction time among athletes who underwent Partner/Coach-directed shadow drill training. The Control group showed slower reaction time in the post-test, indicating a decline in performance. The
Findings: suggest that Partner/Coach-directed shadow drill may be more effective than Moving as you decide shadow drill for better reaction time and enhancing badminton performance. Therefore, implementing Partner/Coach-directed shadow drill training twice weekly is suggested to optimize performance.
