THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL TRAINING OF POLICE OFFICERS FOR EMERGENCIES

Introduction: . To enhance the effectiveness of police officers, special attention is given to optimizing physical training, specifically endurance and physical performance. The study examines a physical training program that incorporates high-intensity interval, strength and aerobic training, and exercises designed to develop tactical skills.
Materials and methods: . The impact of this program on two groups of police officers was experimentally tested: a control group and an experimental group.
Results: . When analyzing the effectiveness of the educational impact aimed at improving the physical fitness of the experiment participants, significant positive changes were observed. The average indicator of physical fitness in the experimental group was initially 40.0%, while the indicator of high fitness was recorded at the level of 5.0%. As a
Result: of the experiment, the average indicator increased significantly to 80.0%, and the share of very high preparedness increased from 0.0% to 5.0%. At the same time, in the control group, the dynamics of the indicators were less pronounced: the average level of preparedness improved only from 45.0% to 50.0%, with a stable level of high preparedness remaining at 10.0%. Thus, the study demonstrates the critical need to tailor training programs to the specific requirements of police officers’ professional activities, enabling them to perform their tasks effectively in emergencies. Further research should focus on the development of complex rehabilitation programs that will contribute to the faster recovery of wounded, sick, or injured police officers.
Conclusions: . The effectiveness of the program is confirmed by a significant increase in the participants’ endurance. During the experiment, it was found that the endurance of the police officers in the experimental group significantly improved compared to the control group. For example, the average level of VO2max in the experimental group increased from 40.0% to 80.0%, whereas in the control group, the changes were less pronounced.
